What is the difference between GAP and GAP Factory?
So how do GAP and GAP Factory differ? The clothing and shoes here can be slightly different or completely identical. In terms of quality, Factory performs especially well with boots, sneakers, and shoes, including for children. And the worst reviews (as a rule) on forums are about T-shirts. They have slightly different fabric quality (more similar to the Old Navy level). But even those will be advantageous on the official Gap Factory website, given the level of local discounts. And the quality is still much higher than Turkish and Chinese goods that have flooded Russian shelves.
You can determine which store the item came from – Gap or Gap Factory – by looking at the label. All items from the outlet will contain three square dots there (or directly the inscription – GAP Factory Store). On items from the main store, the tag simply says GAP.

Shopping at GAP: Key Features
When visiting the official Gap website for the first time, don’t rush to close the starting pop-up window. Like in many American stores, registration often offers a good discount (up to 25%). Enter your e-mail address in the suggested field – and all items that currently have no promotions will become a quarter cheaper for you. In the future, special offers and store news will be sent to this e-mail, but you can unsubscribe from them. If you plan to continue ordering clothes from GAP, information about such promotions will become very relevant. Sometimes the biggest discounts here last only a couple of days, so you need to catch them in time.
By the way, about discounts. GAP has plenty of them, and they are regular. And the GapFactory online store is literally covered with them; they run constantly and apply to all products. Often, to get a discount, you need to enter the code specified on the site at the end of checkout. Sometimes a more substantial discount replaces the previous one, but often they can be combined. And even simpler, if you are not comfortable working according to this scheme – do not keep more money on the card than is needed to pay for the purchase of the goods. Then the store will only charge the amount it needs.
When making a purchase, you will first need to enter the Shipping Address – this is the delivery address. Here you enter the data from your Pochtoy.com personal account. The address and phone number of one of the two warehouses (Pennsylvania or Delaware), where your goods will be sent before forwarding to Russia. At the same time, it is better to uncheck the box next to Use this adress for my billing: billing is the address at which your bank card is registered, from which GAP will take the payment.
Enter billing – which is a rather responsible step when ordering clothes from GAP. Try to enter all your information honestly, and if they refuse to process the purchase – indicate the data from your Pochtoy.com account in the State, City and ZIP code fields. Here you need to provide your own phone number – or that of a close person who, if necessary, can confirm the information you entered in billing. This is how the store protects itself from carders (sellers of stolen bank cards), there is nothing wrong with that.
If something is wrong with billing – the store’s support service may send you an email to confirm the information. Sometimes this also works in the opposite direction: buyers, our clients, deliberately provide incorrect information in billing, and then send a request by email to support, explaining the situation and providing the correct data so that the payment can be processed. The store is interested in selling the goods, and if it sees that you are an honest buyer, it will often process the payment for you. Just do not give the operator your full card details; address and phone number are enough.
