Starting August 29, the rules for duty-free import of parcels into the US are changing

27 August 2025

Dear customers!

(❗️Delivery and forwarding within the USA remain unchanged)

Starting August 29, 2025, the US is canceling the usual duty exemption (de minimis) for parcels sent from other countries to the USA.
Previously, items valued up to $800 could be received duty-free. Now any international parcel to the USA will be subject to fees — either according to the sending country's tariffs, or at a fixed rate ($80–200 per item).

What this means for you:

  • If you order on your own from foreign online stores (EU, Canada, Asia, etc.) to the Pochtoy.com warehouse, the duty will be charged upon import into the USA. Payment is made by the recipient (buyer).

  • If you place an order through operators, tax payment may also be required at checkout. In this case, the client pays. The exact tax amount will be available once the item arrives at the warehouse.

Important: the changes will not affect most customers who order goods from the USA to other countries.
For 99% of service users, delivery terms will remain the same.

We understand that this is a significant change and may affect your orders. We are monitoring the situation and will keep you informed.
