USPS EMS – is international postal delivery in partnership with the American postal service USPS. The tariff allows sending consolidated parcels ordered independently or through an operator, with free repacking and simplified processing. Parcels are delivered to the door or to the nearest post office.
The USPS EMS tariff stands out for postal delivery through the USPS network and national postal operators of destination countries. Unlike courier services (DHL, FedEx), parcels are delivered by mail. Volumetric weight is taken into account, and the maximum shipment weight is 30 kg.
No need to provide invoices, product links, or upload passport photos. To complete the form, simply fill out the customs declaration indicating the names of the goods and their value.
The duty-free customs limit for the USPS EMS tariff depends on the country of delivery. Limits can be clarified on the tax service website of your country.
The average package delivery time is usually from 12 to 20 days. The exact timeframes depend on the tariff and the recipient's city.
USPS EMS parcels are sent every day.
The shipping restrictions are as follows: the maximum parcel weight is 30 kg, the maximum length is 91 cm, and the sum of length and girth is no more than 200 cm. Volumetric weight is taken into account: the calculation is made automatically via API based on the weight and dimensions of the parcel.
The parcel can be insured against total loss.
Parcel insurance is not mandatory.
The cost of insurance is $3 for every $100 of the goods value. The insurance maximum is $1350.
Not eligible for insurance: antiques, goods from eBay (loss only), jewelry, watches, candles, lamps, monitors, glass, ceramics, musical instruments, food products, stamps, collectible items, cosmetics in fragile packaging and others. Insurance does not cover damage from poor packaging or when dividing the parcel without additional packaging.
To file a claim for insurance payout, contact tickets no earlier than 30 days after sending the package. Application review takes 30 to 60 days. The decision is made by the carrier.
The following are prohibited for delivery: batteries, explosive and flammable substances, military equipment, knives, plants, vitamins, medicines, food, alcohol, money, documents, cigarettes, tobacco, etc. The full list of prohibited goods is available via the link.
The package is delivered by postal carrier to your door, or can be picked up at the nearest post office – depending on the destination country.
