Suspension of CDEK shipments for a week
5 June 2025
Dear customers! As we reported earlier this week, the international logistics situation has noticeably worsened. Moscow airports periodically suspend operations due to threats related to unmanned aerial vehicles. This leads to flight delays and cancellations.
As became known today, Turkish Airlines is considering relocating some of its flights from Moscow to St. Petersburg. Read the news: https://www.kommersant.ru/doc/7776991
All of this directly affects CDEK shipments that are sent to Russia on this airline's flights. Our parcels currently in transit are still waiting in line for departure.
In light of this, we are pausing new CDEK shipments until next Thursday, June 12.
We do have alternative routes, but we don't want to return shipments already handed over for transportation from transit, repack them, and redirect them via new routes. Especially since other routes may have additional restrictions. And the entire process of return and repackaging could take longer than the pause we're taking.
If nothing changes within the week either in Moscow or in Turkish Airlines' operations via St. Petersburg, we will take further measures and send parcels via new routes.
We also want to clarify right away that all parcels already packed for a specific tariff will not be repacked or re-registered upon customer requests. They are palletized and waiting for the opportunity to leave the warehouse.
Other tariffs are operating stably. Right now you can arrange shipments via any available tariffs, but we recommend choosing "Econom" and "Universal" whenever possible, while the uncertainty with Turkish Airlines and CDEK tariffs remains.
After the changes on the website, internal tracking may not work correctly. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Thank you for staying with us. We will be sure to let you know as soon as new information becomes available.
