• L30 (seam length 76 cm), height no more than 1,7 m; 
• L32 (seam length 81) if height is 1,7-1,78 m;
• L34 (seam length 86 cm) is ideal for height 1,78-1,88 m;
• L36 (seam length 91 cm) is suitable for people taller than 1,88 m.

In general, length sizes are the same for men and women, but waist size requires precision, since body shapes differ. The main criterion for women's jeans size is fullness (W). To calculate it, you need to measure your waist circumference with a measuring tape. The resulting value is relative, since many brands have different rises and cuts. 

Both measurements should be taken from your ideal jeans. The ones that fit you best right now. Remember that Russian jeans sizes differ from American ones, since the latter are indicated in inches (1 inch = 2,54 cm). Therefore, before buying foreign products, measure the inseam length and waist, and then divide the value by 2,54. If the waist is 65 cm and the seam length is 78, the size will be W26*L31.

How to choose the size of men's and women's jeans

Method #1 will help you find out what jeans size you need. Subtract 16 from your clothing size (for example, 42-16=26). The resulting number = the American size. Method #2 for determining men's jeans size: bend your arm and clench your fist. If in this position you can fit your hand into the buttoned garment, then this is your size. The method is not suitable for overweight people with a protruding belly. 

What size jeans should you choose from different manufacturers? All companies have different jeans size charts for men and women. The same marking may correspond to different measurements.
